The interior of the cathedral is both majestic and serene. This is were the marriage of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Louis VII of France occured in 1137. Today the cathedral is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France. The monument continues to attract visitors thanks to its outstanding architecture and central location in the historic heart of Bordeaux.
