Katedrála v Perpignane : A Gothic Treasure
Perpignan Cathedral is officially known as Saint John the Baptist Cathedral. Construction began in 1324 under the Kings of Majorca and continued over the following centuries resulting in a magnificent example of Gothic architecture.


The cathedral is renowned for its vast single nave and beautiful stained-glass windows. Adjacent to the cathedral is the Campo Santo : one of the oldest surviving cloister cemeteries in France adding to the unique historical significance of the cathedral.
Still an active place of worship today the cathedral is a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in history and Catalan heritage. The peaceful atmosphere and remarkable craftsmanship make it one of the most treasured monuments in Perpignan.
