The Palace of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles is one of the most famous royal residences in the world. Located in the city of Versailles it was originally built as a hunting lodge for King Louis XIII in the 17th century. Later Louis XIV transformed it into a magnificent palace that became the center of political power in France.
