Set out on a 2-hour private walking tour of Tarascon : a lively Provençal town on the banks of the Rhône. Explore the historic center and stroll beside the river and step inside the Château du Roi René : a remarkably well-preserved medieval fortress. From its terraces you will enjoy views over the Rhône and the town of Beaucaire on the other side.

Your local guide will tell you the legend of Saint Martha and the Tarasque : the fabled monster that gave the town its name. You will also hear about the court of King René of Anjou and about Alphonse Daudet and his humorous hero Tartarin. Along the way you will visit the church of Sainte-Marthe and the arcaded streets of the historic center.
